Footy archetype. Fire / Hunt

The Storm Chaser

Turns chaos into goals. If you run, they will catch you.

Often: pressure and small forwards

What you see from the boundary

  • Chasing whoever has the ball to force a mistake
  • After a mistake, hunts the next opponent with the ball, fired up
  • After the game, talks about the tackle, the smother, or the goal from a turnover
  • Nervous looks like loud and too wound up
On the drive home
Name the tackle first. Then the quick reset after the one that didn't come off.

The drive home is covered in Book 9, Game-Day Execution.

Their next step

Resetting fast after a miss or a free kick against. The fire is the weapon; the reset keeps it pointed the right way.

Three cue words to try this weekend

  • HUNT
  • NEXT
  • NOW

One word they say to themselves after a mistake, then straight into the next action. In the Personal Edition, your athlete chooses their own.

How their books are written

  1. Their opening scene

Book 1 opens under the lights in a the Storm Chaser moment, with their first name in it.

  2. Calm and Fire

Every lesson in the books is told twice, once for the calm reader and once for the fiery one. Theirs is the Fire version.

  3. Their words

Cue words, reset ritual and identity statements come from their own answers in the intake.

  4. Your letter

Every book ends with a letter from home, written by you, with prompts if you get stuck.

Most players lean toward one archetype and show some of another. The snapshot is a likely read; the full intake settles it.
